a holiday home in the south of France for individualists
In Caux, a small French winegrowing village picturesquely nestled in the rolling hills just behind Pezenas, our house is situated on the edge of the village in a large garden where the birds chirp, the wind rustles through the trees and the sun shines most of the time. It is the ideal place to live or spend your holidays. Next to the main house there is a small cottage, which we rent out, as it is not used by us. Small but nice: 40 m2 for two persons.
Here you could spend your holiday, be for yourself, enjoy the garden and the pool. A short walk to the village centre where you will find a bakery, butcher or restaurant and bar. A long walk to the vineyards that surround the whole village. You are right in the middle of the Languedoc and have all the beautiful things at your fingertips.
Trips in all directions; to the sea (only 30 minutes away), to the rivers Hérault and Orb or to the mountains of the Ha ut Languedoc. Sometimes you want to be around a few more people, then lively cities like Sète, Béziers, Montpellier or Carcassonne beckon.
Of course, the good things about French life also include food and drink. The markets that take place here every day of the week in the various villages are so tempting! Now you can shop to your heart's content and then cook at home. Or almost better still, enjoy the cooking of others; the restaurants are always a discovery. A simple lunch menu or sitting by the water at the oyster farmer's house and sipping fresh oysters - wonderful! There is something for every taste here in the region, right up to star-rated restaurants.
A quick word about us, who also live on the property:
You will be able to see us from time to time when we are working a little in the garden, taking a dip in the pool or sitting on our terrace. But we won't disturb you, we won't get on your nerves with unsolicited advice or anything like that. If you would like to ask us something or would like a tip for exploring the region, we will of course be happy to help, but otherwise we will let you enjoy your holiday in peace. Live and let live....

We have lovingly converted this 40 m² small house into a holiday home for two people, where you can spend your holidays with all the comforts. However, we have deliberately preserved the charm of the old tiles and ceiling beams in the room. The kitchen worktop, which formerly served as an open fireplace under the huge, iron fireplace flue, has also been retained and supplemented with modern kitchen appliances. But where one particularly desires the modern and flashing atmosphere of the new, such as in the bathroom, we have ensured uncompromisingly clear and modern fittings.
The furnishings are also new and contemporary, complemented with a few favourite pieces that emphasise the southern French character.
On your terrace you will find a large dining table and sun loungers.
A barbecue is also at your disposal. Of course, you can also take a walk through the garden, or if you prefer to place your lounger under another pine tree, no problem.
Your car is safely parked on our property.
The front yard is large and invites you to play petanque.

The rental period always starts on Saturdays during the season (July-August).
In the other months, other arrival days can be arranged, subject to availability.

When you send us your booking request, we will immediately send you a booking confirmation, depending on availability. You then only need to reconfirm once
Booking conditions
Our holiday flat is available to you from 16:00 on the day of arrival and until 10:00 on the day of departure. Deviations are possible by arrangement. Minimum rental period is 7 nights. Maximum occupancy 2 persons, both over 18 years old. Dogs are not allowed. The flat is not suitable for people with disabilities.
1. PAYMENT MODALITIES
After booking, 25% of the rental price is to be transferred immediately. A booking confirmation with the bank details will be sent to you immediately. Only after receipt of the deposit the booking becomes binding. The balance (+200 Euro deposit) can be paid in cash on the day of arrival. We do not accept cheques or credit cards.
2. CANCELLATION CONDITIONS
Cancellation up to 2 months before the agreed date of arrival is free of charge. The deposit will be refunded immediately. Up to 1 month before the arrival date 40% of the total rental price; up to 1 week before the arrival date 70% of the total rental price; in the last week before the arrival date 90% of the total rental price.
It is recommended to insure yourself against the cost risk associated with a cancellation by taking out travel cancellation insurance
3. LIABILITY
The landlord does not accept any liability for possible accidents in the house or on the property. In the event of damage to the house caused by the guest or persons accompanying him, the guest is personally responsible for the damage caused; a deposit is required in advance to cover the costs of any damage.
The rental is carried out with complete inventory, including crockery. The tenant undertakes to treat the rented property and inventory with care and to report any damage incurred to the owner and to compensate him/her in cash. At the end of the rental period, the holiday home and inventory must be handed over in a tidy condition (without final cleaning).
